Ram Laksh Foundation’s Gath Bandhan initiative is dedicated to preventing harmful social practices like Baal Vivah (child marriage), unauthorized marriages, and dowry. Through education, advocacy, and community outreach, we aim to build a society where every individual, especially girls and women, can live with dignity, freedom, and respect. Additionally, we support the marriages of underprivileged girls and boys, ensuring they begin their journey with hope, love, and a foundation of equality.
Samuhik Vivah (Mass Marriages)
The Gath Bandhan initiative also organizes Samuhik Vivah (mass marriage) ceremonies to support underprivileged families. These events reduce the financial burden on families while promoting equality and mutual respect. Samuhik Vivah provides a platform for couples to start their lives with the blessings of the community, free from the pressures of dowry and other social evils.
Prevention of Baal Vivah (Child Marriage)
Child marriage has long-lasting consequences for young girls, limiting their opportunities and future. Through Gath Bandhan, we raise awareness about the harmful effects of child marriage and the importance of education. We work with communities to ensure every girl has the chance to grow, learn, and choose her own future.
Prevention of Unauthorized Marriages and Dowry
The Gath Bandhan initiative also tackles the issues of unauthorized marriages and dowry, both of which lead to exploitation and inequality. We educate families about the legal rights surrounding marriage and dowry, advocating for fair, voluntary, and respectful unions free from financial demands and coercion.
